Back to school

Today Zach had to go back to school.  As sad as I was to see him go, it was nice to have some peace in the house again.  He and Owen constantly get into bickering/arguing fits over whose turn it is for the computer, TV, sitting next to mom, you name it.  But he's my pal and I miss him when he's gone.

Today is an even numbered day, so the photo is of Owen.  He's been on a huge puzzle kick lately.  I'm thrilled that he's not breaking things or pouring oil into furniture, but the puzzles all over the floor have been a bit frustrating, especially with Holly shedding all over the place.  It is still better than the terrorist activities he had previously filled his time with, though.  No doubt about it.

Here he his working a 48 piece puzzle.  The 24 piece ones are "easy, mom!" and the 50ish piece ones take a little time.  100 piece require help from Dad.  I went ahead and bought a puzzle game for the computer b/c it has several puzzles and you can change the number of pieces from about 6 to 9000 (not kidding) so I figure those will help keep him busy for a while.  Since the 30 or so physical puzzles we now have are still not enough.

It's January 3rd!

And guess what?  I was supposed to take a photo of Zachary today.  And I never got around to it!  Surprise!  I know you're shocked.  However, as I am typing this on January 4th, I took the liberty of taking my Zach photos today and I'll post them here.  He was getting ready for karate and we decided to do a couple of action shots in front of the non-dismantled Christmas tree.  Some of them really cracked me up, as I'd hit the shutter button before I should have to get the right shot.  And then Owen decided to try his hand at kicking like Wubby.

January 2nd

Since today is an even numbered day, it's a day for photos of Owen.  He's getting so big ♥  In the first one, he looks like his usual mischievous self.  The second one, I don't really know that kid.  In the third he's half crying begging me to "Stop doing that!"

Happy New Year!

Ok, I know what you are probably thinking.  That is, if you have read much of this blog in the past 2 years.  You're probably thinking "Wow, another new year, she's going to try that photo 365 crap again.  WHATever."  Well, I have news for you.  I am NOT doing the photo 365 again, I know better than to set myself up after two epic fails.  However, I am going to try and blog more consistently.  I also made a half-assed promise to myself to take more photos of the boys.  So I asked Zach if he prefers odd or even numbers.  He picked odd, SO that means I want to TRY and take a photo of him on every odd numbered day and one of Owen on every even-numbered day.  But I'm not going to beat myself up if I miss some here and there.  Just like today.

But I DID take one photo.  The date is 1/1/11 and my house number is 1111.  So I just had to take a picture of the clock at 11:11.  Please excuse the dust.  I swear, the dust in my house breeds like bunnies with an irrational fear of extinction.
